Spoiler alerts indicate that this week will not be a good one for Cane Ashby on "The Young and the Restless." Everything is going to fall apart because several secrets Cane has been hiding, will come to light. These revelations will more than likely drive Lily further away from reconciling with her spouse.
Cane's secrets will be revealed
There is one man responsible for the situation Cane finds himself in this week, and that is Jesse. The camera man came to Genoa City hoping to get a job with "G.C. Buzz." Hillary turned him down and now he is blackmailing Mr.
Ashby. Jesse wants $25,000 or he will let everyone know what Cane has been up to. Lily's spouse paid Jesse not to edit footage, of Billy joking about gambling with hockey players. Cane is desperate for this secret to stay hidden but his step brother is hot on his trail. Spoiler alerts indicate that Billy will find out the truth and he and Victoria get revenge.
In the meantime, Mr. Ashby is considering using his children's tuition fund money to pay Jesse off. On Monday's episode of Y&R, Lily was looking at the financial records, and there was only $4,000 in the tuition fund. Previews show her asking her husband what he had done, and also have Cane with Jesse discussing a transfer. It is not yet clear whether or not Cane actually pays the blackmail fee.
What has been revealed is that what happened in California will come to light.
This may be the end of the Ashby marriage
Lily has dealt with so much lately because of her husband's bad choices, that she is at her breaking point. Her spouse has been fired from "Brash and Sassy," and now is unable to find another job. Now he is considering stealing from his children.
When she finds out about Jesse and what Cane did in California, this may be the final straw for Lily. And may be the end of the Ashby marriage.
Lily has been trying to forgive her husband for getting drunk and not remembering having sex with Juliet. She is trying to come to terms with the fact that Ms. Helton is pregnant with her husband's child.
She is going to be angry and overwhelmed to know that Cane paid Jesse to not edit footage which led to Juliet being fired and filing the sexual harassment lawsuit.
More importantly Cane Ashby set things in motion that led to his losing his own job, and put him in a position to be black mailed.
