The cast and crew of “The Originals” Season 5 are now starting to say their goodbyes as the show is coming to an end. Executive producer Julie Plec led the show’s appearance at the recent San Diego Comic-Con 2017 along with Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Charles Michael Davis, Phoebe Tonkin, Riley Voelkel, and Yusuf Gatewood.
Apart from saying their final farewell at the annual event, they also talked about what’s to come in its last season. Fans have been long waiting for “The Vampire Diaries” crossover, and now that it is happening, they wonder how Caroline Forbes (Candice King) is going to appear.
Teasers and hints on the show’s final season
In the previous season finale, the Mikaelson family had been constrained to go their separate ways because of a curse that would cause a big devastation if they would ever be together.
However, as “The Originals” Season 5 will feature a 10-year time jump, things will be quite different as they will be reunited in some ways. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Julie Plec revealed that there will be a big consequence if the family will be spending time together. “We're going to start to see exactly what does happen," she said. She even added that the event will escalate quickly.
In the much-awaited coming of Candice King, the 45-year-old television producer revealed that Caroline will be seen in a number of episodes.
As seen on the show’s IMDB page, she is about to appear in two episodes. As she will be Hope’s (Danielle Rose Russell) new headmistress at Salvatore Boarding School, she will definitely have “an interaction” with his father, Klaus (Joseph Morgan), at some point.
Caroline has known Klaus for a long time now, thus “she has a perspective for him and the way that he's living his life." The 36-year-old actor, on the other hand, hinted that the unresolved romance between their characters will continue in the spin-off series’ swan song. He believed that the show is about to tell more about their story.
"There's always been ... a feeling of something unresolved there," he said. As the supernatural drama’s production is about to end in December, Joseph Morgan teased that there are a lot of things that fans should look forward to on their return.
The show’s fun, flirty side
In a different interview with Entertainment Weekly, Julie Plec also teased that Klaus is going to kill a lot of people in “The Originals” Season 5.
Also, as she is now a grown-up teen, Hope now has a new guy in her life. The cast even revealed that Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) has a new fling. “Hayley’s got a friend with benefits,” the showrunner unveiled. The man is said to be named Declan and an Irish guy.
