"The Bachelor" Nick Viall and his fiance Vanessa Grimaldi have split. The couple has decided to end their engagement just about five months after fans watched Nick choose to propose to Vanessa and leave runner-up Raven Gates in tears. Nick and Vanessa released a joint statement confirming their split, and revealing that gave the relationship "their all" and that they are sad that they won't be getting their "fairytale ending."
Nick and Vanessa's fairytale comes to an end as they call off their engagement
As many "Bachelor" fans know, this isn't the first time that Nick Viall has been unlucky in the love matches he's made on the franchise.
Viall was previously a runner-up on both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe's seasons of "The Bachelorette." Viall then appeared on ABC's summer hit, "Bachelor in Paradise," where he also failed to find love. When it was announced that he would be the new "Bachelor," many of his fans were hoping that this would be the chance for Nick to really fall in love and hopefully find his future wife. Sadly, that is not the case for Viall and Grimaldi, who have been dodging relationship rumors since the show ended.
Will Nick return to TV for another shot at love?
Meanwhile, fans are now wondering if Nick Viall will ever return to reality TV in hopes of finding love again. Perhaps Nick will come back to "Bachelor in Paradise" next season, or even compete on ABC's new show, "Bachelor Winter Games" this winter.
The news of Viall and Grimaldi's split also comes at a time when ABC has yet to announce the next "Bachelor," and while it doesn't seem likely that Nick would be "The Bachelor" two times in a row, host Chris Harrison is not opposed to bringing back former "Bachelors" for another shot at love. Just recently Harrison revealed that he would like to see Ben Higgins return for a second shot after his split with Lauren Bushnell.
However, it doesn't seem to be the case for Higgins, and fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the network's new leading man.
Nick's future is up in the air
Nick Viall being single again is a hot topic for "Bachelor" fans, and it seems everyone is trying to figure out which "Bachelor" nation women that Viall may mesh well with.
Some fans believe that Nick should get another shot to find love on "Paradise" or "Winter Games," while others have seemingly grown tired of his messy love life and think he needs to leave his romantic trysts off of television. It will be interesting to see what Nick decides to do in the future and if fans will ever see him on reality TV looking for love again.
