Will "The Bachelor" 2018 lead go to Alex Bordyukov? This is the man both Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo are rooting for to get the gig. A few weeks ago Rachel said he didn't want any of her men going on to be the next "Bachelor," but now that she's happily engaged, she wants everyone to be as happy as she is! Although she's not naming any of her finalists, she does have someone from her season in mind.
"Bachelorette" and fiance name their choice
Alex Bordyukov was eliminated earlier in Rachel's season of "The Bachelorette" and hasn't surfaced much since then, but Lindsay and Abasolo are drawing attention to the 28-year-old from Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan.
They think the the handsome IT and accounting specialist would make a great "Bachelor."
“I think we agree on this one. We would say Alex,” Rachel said on ABC's "Good Morning America" Monday morning.
Rachel added that fans "didn't get to see enough of him" on "The Bachelorette" and she thinks that Alex is "great." Her fiance feels the same way. Bryan says Burdyukov has a nice mixture of fun and intelligence.
“He's just quirky, fun personality, funky dresser,” Abasolo raved. “He’s…a really smart guy. He has a really high I.Q. and I just think he would make an interesting season.”
A little more about Alex
If Alex Burdyukov were to be the next "Bachelor" for the 2018 season, what kind of woman would he be looking for?
According to an interview he gave Glamour magazine, he's not looking to "take care" care of anyone -- and vice versa. One of the main things he wants in a relationship is "synergy." Alex wants the same for his significant other as he does for himself -- independence while complementing each others best attributes. As Burdyukov puts it, he's "ooking for something that we can both add to each other’s lives without giving up our individuality."
In his past, Alex said he's had two girlfriends.
One relationship lasted four years and the other was five years. The former "Bachelorette" contestant described himself as "whipped" in his first relationship, which was in high school. As for the second relationship, it ended due to the couple growing apart.
Alex has all the ingredients that ABC is looking for, but is it what the fans want?
"Bachelor in Paradise" season 4 will premiere next week and the network will wait everything out to see who fans take a liking to. Last season the network shocked everyone when they cast Nick Viall instead of Luke Pell. Who knows which guy will get the lead after "BiP" wraps this time.
