Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" was supposedly a song aimed at Katy Perry. The two music icons have been in a not so subtle feud for quite some time now, and both parties were not really afraid to throw some much-needed shade when they had to. There was no confirmation of some sort from Taylor Swift or her reps on whether "Bad Blood" was really meant for Katy Perry, but the fans know better. They have de-coded each and every detail of Swift's "Bad Blood" music video and they have substantial evidence that it was really meant to take a shot at Perry.

Fast forward to now and it looks like Katy is ready to have her turn at throwing some major shade through her own music video.

Katy Perry recently released a new album and one of its singles is "Swish Swish." From the lyrics of the song itself, fans have noticed that it was somewhat throwing shade at Taylor Swift. Basically, the song is about tigers and sheep and fans have been quick to notice that Perry might be referring to her as the tiger - with her single "Roar," while Swift might be referenced as the sheep-like Regina George who looks all sweet on the outside but sneaky on the inside.

Not really friends

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Perry revealed that she wasn't really sure if she and Taylor were really friends.

She shared that while they would smile and hug and greet each other, she felt confused whether they were friends or if she was just given the worst insult of her life.

Initially, when Katy was asked if there was a song on her new album that would serve as a response for "Bad Blood," she neither confirmed or denied the possibility.

Instead, she revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that her songs were written for no one in particular. However, she added that everything has a reaction or consequence. Fans took it as a clue that there might really be a response to "Bad Blood" in her new album.

New album, new music video

Apparently, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's feud is far from over as the former's music video for "Swish Swish" is about to be released while fans are also waiting on the latter's impending album release.

According to Hollywood Life, the references for Taylor Swift in the "Swish Swish" teaser did not go unnoticed by the fans.

Much like Swift's move in "Bad Blood" where a lot of celebrities had a cameo appearance, the teaser for "Swish Swish" also featured some cameos from celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Molly Shannon and Bill Walton. Perhaps the most important clue that has made fans believe that "Swish Swish" is a direct answer to "Bad Blood" is the fact that Perry posted the trailer on social media with the caption "countdown to catastrophe." The character of Swift's name in "Bad Blood" was Catastrophe. Is it just mere coincidence or is there some major shade thrown?
