The feud between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry continues and it seems like the producers of MTV Video Music Awards cannot fix the issue between the two.

MTV Producers wanted Taylor Swift and Katy Perry perform together but It was reported that the two refused to work together. Perhaps, Katy Perry wanted to host the show without seeing the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer around?

Taylor Swift is busy as well. She has been teasing fans with her upcoming album and the single “Look What You Made Me Do” is now available for the public to listen to and judge.

The song is very different from the love-in-the-air tune Swift usually produces, and this one is darker than “Bad Blood”. But the song does not seem to be the “Teenage Dream” singer - just more of Kanye West.

At the same time, Perry is promoting her “Witness” album. Aside from the hosting gig, she also released her “Swish Swish” music video directed by Dave Meyers, 24 hours before Swift’s. The song features Nicki Minaj’s signature rap while the video includes cast members of “Game of Thrones” actor Hafþór Björnsson, Glee actress, Jenna Ushkowitz and “Stranger Things” actor, Gaten Matarazzo.

Perry disses Swift in new music video

Its theme is basketball with a lot of meme reference, cameos, and ball hits.

The “Unconditionally” singer also included viral acts like Christine Sydelko and Backpack Kid, the same way she had Rebecca Black in her “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)” music video.

Fans also watched the video thoroughly trying to find any Swift references as the feud between the two pop stars is still a hot topic. Once upon a time they were quite friendly with each other willingly posing for cameras to take their pictures until their 2014 beef that started because some of Swift’s backup dancers during her Red tour, preferred to work in Perry’s tour at that time.

While promoting her 1989 album, Swift talked about the issue and later released the song “Bad Blood” which is now known as a revenge song directly pointed at the “Roar” singer. There were hopes that the two performers would clear up the whole beef thing and hopefully make a night out of the MTV Video Music Awards.

For now, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift are still unable to patch things up. Hopefully, they will be able to fix the feud between them, as they can make a good collaboration together in the future if they want to.
