“Supergirl” season 3 is set to feature a new love interest for James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks). He is also known for playing his other identity called “The Guardian.”

According to International Business Times, Brooks was asked in a recent interview if there is a chance for James and Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) to rekindle their past romance. It can be recalled that Supergirl’s current lover, Mon-El (Chris Wood), had to leave earth due to undesirable circumstance. Therefore, Kara Danvers was no doubt placed in a vulnerable state.

Will James Olsen and Kara Danvers romantically reunite in Season 3?

The 36-year-old actor revealed that it is possible for Superman’s best friend to have a love interest. However, he, later on, revealed that James Olsen will be in love, but not with Kara Danvers. He shared that his role will be partnered with a new girl in “Supergirl” Season 3.

When asked about more hints regarding his new love interest, the actor declined to give further details. As yet, no information has been revealed whether the new girl is someone familiar or is a mystery character.

On the other hand, Brooks shared how he is looking forward to team up with Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan). Fans of the CW series may remember that The Guardian and Winn started working together in late Season 2.

The latter even designed the costume for him! Furthermore, addressing whether his collaboration with Jeremy Jordan will continue, Brooks said, “I hope so, we have great chemistry and we have fun doing it.”

Winn Schott’s awful moments in Season 3

According to Jeremy Jordan, the third season will feature a bad start for Schott.

As Jordan has explained, “Supergirl” Season 3 is set to explore more about his past. After all, viewers have not seen his mother yet.

In addition, Jordan described that his role is currently “living the life.” Winn Schott has a girlfriend, dream job, and fights crime with his best friend The Guardian. Every aspect of his life is almost as good as fulfilled.

He has not felt the emptiness since his wicked father’s departure.

Now, Winn’s life is expected to get miserable in Season 3. Furthermore, “Supergirl” Season 3 will return with Mon-El and Kara Danvers’ temporary absence. Melissa Benoist revealed in an interview that Supergirl was hugely affected by the departure. In the end, we are hoping for Mon-El’s return in the future.
