Teen Choice Awards happened this Sunday, and do you know what? Miley didn’t show up in spite of her receiving the highest award in the show-the Ultimate Choice Award. Her fans were confused. What could have happened for Miley to miss in a show that she had been scheduled to make an appearance?

The show was going down on Sunday night in Los Angeles. Riverdale and Wonder Woman and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 carried the night. Miley Cyrus was supposed to receive awards, but she was a no-show. The songbird who up to date has bagged 18 Teen Choice Awards posted to her Instagram with 70 million followers the reason she didn’t attend the show.

You might be wondering what schedule she had on a Sunday night. It is a new single that will be out on August 18. All those fans who inquired where she was can now calm their nerves.

She thanked her fans and those who were watching the TCA show for awarding her with the Ultimate Choice Award. She apologized for not showing up, and she said that intended to come and accept the awards herself, but then she was caught up somewhere.

The singer continued to say that she had been trying not to reveal it, but she can't do it anymore, she was going to release a new music video “Younger Now” this Friday. She expressed her excitement too and promised to make her fans smile.

The main winners of this year’s film prizes are Finding Dory, Beauty and the Beast, Wonder Woman and Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2.

Ed Sheeran, Fifth Harmony, and Ariana Grande bagged most of the music prizes while Riverdale and The Vampire Diaries took home the TV awards. Some winners pleaded with the teens to avoid violence and be responsible than their elders, after a white nationalists rally in Charlottesville, Virginia turned chaotic, a day before the TCA show.
