Jenelle Evans signed over her legal rights to Jace on the early episodes of "Teen Mom 2" as she didn't have the means to care for him. She didn't have a job, and she had no health insurance to care for him if he got sick. At that time, Jenelle wasn't mature enough to step up to the plate, and one could argue that she didn't have the family support that some of her "Teen Mom 2" co-stars had during the first couple of months after becoming mothers at 16. Jenelle was essentially forced to hand over her rights for Jace, as she could either let her mother help her or put Jace in foster care.
The agreement was that Barbara would give Jace back once Jenelle got herself a job and proved that she was stable. It has been years, and Barbara is now refusing to sign over the rights.
According to a new Instagram post, Jenelle Evans is now receiving harsh comments from fans who believe that she herself is to blame for how Jace is acting out. On "Teen Mom 2," Jenelle revealed that Jace had been violent towards Barbara, and they were trying to figure out why he was hitting her. As it turns out, viewers felt it was easy to see what had gone wrong. Jace was acting out because the relationship between himself and Jenelle wasn't healthy because of Barbara's role in everything.
Viewers don't like what they see
During Monday's episode of "Teen Mom 2," Jenelle tracked down Barbara. She accused her of drinking with the intent of getting in a car and driving. Jenelle got the police involved and claims she was concerned for her son's well-being. Sadly, Jenelle's son Jace saw how everything went down, and it sounds like fans believe it is heartbreaking for him to experience everything.
"Wow the way y'all acted in front of them kids is heartbreaking," one fan wrote on Jenelle's Instagram post, while another person agreed, writing "my thoughts exactly. She really has no right to tell the person who has raised her son to learn her place either."
"I cant watch u guys, man. Come on you wonder why Jace is acting up.
Look at who he's surrounded with. You and your mom need help seriously those poor kids," a third person revealed, sharing that it was rough to watch Jenelle's relationship with David and how they chose to handle the situations with Jace.
Barbara to blame?
Jenelle Evans believes that Barbara is to blame for how Jace is acting out. He is clearly being violent because he experiences yelling and screaming. However, Barbara could argue that Jenelle's bad choices in boyfriends and their fights are to blame. Jace keeps giving them different stories, so it's hard to know who's telling the truth.
