The music video features six black actors taking on the roles of the character from "Friends" as they recreate an episode. However, as they reenact the famous episode there is a sudden break in the fourth wall and the song "Moonlight" begins to play.

According to Vox, the music video for Jay-Z's track "Moonlight" has been released online and recreates scenes from the hit TV comedy "Friends." The music video was directed by Alan Yang and includes a cast of all black actors.

The cast featuring in the music video includes the likes of Jerrod Carmichael, Issa Rae, Tiffany Haddish, LaKeith Stanfield, Lil Rel Howery and Tessa Thompson. These actors come from several different shows such as "The Carmichael Show", "Get Out" and movies such as "Girls Trip." The six actors each take on the role of a member of the "Friends" group and recreate exact scenes from the episode titled "The One Where No One's Ready."

Fans of the "Friends" franchise found this tidbit hilarious and the live audience in the video could not stop laughing. However, the cast of the music video appears to encounter some issues with their parts and before the public know what is happening the song "Moonlight" begins to play in the background.

A sharp change in tune

According to NME, the music video begins with the title sequence of "Friends" except the characters are now replaced with the new cast. However, as the actors continue reenacting scenes from a "Friends" episode there is a sudden break in the fourth wall when Carmichael wanders off stage to talk to comedian Hannibal Buress.

The pair exchange some hilarious banter as Hannibal Buress shares his opinions on the "Friends" piece stating that it was crazy. Carmichael gets upset and leaves the set for good and as he goes, the camera pans close on the actor as the song "Moonlight" starts to play.

Fans of Jay-Z have praised the artist for this hilarious video and the innovative idea to include "Friends" references.
