Rick Ross also honored the Linkin Park lead vocalist at the Billboard Hot 100 Fest with “Numb/Encore.” The emotional tribute of the two rappers has definitely been making news and fans have applauded Jay-z on Twitter for his sweet gesture.
Jay-Z ends V Festival set with 'Numb/Encore'
Jay-Z, on Saturday, regaled the audiences at the V Festival in Staffordshire with his first full performance of the year and he could not have given it a more beautiful end than paying a tribute to the Linkin Park genius Chester Bennington.
The rapper was at the forefront of the main stage line-up and after he had belted out his popular tracks, he asked the audiences if he could get some love for Chester.
Then he requested them to make some noise for the deceased legend so that he could hear them in heaven and the audiences obliged him. Jay-Z gave a moving performance of a song from the band's 2004 album “Collison Course” and the audiences joined him. Jay-Z also performed his coming tracks “Family Feud,” “The Story of O.J.,” and “Kill Jay Z.”

The emotional tribute of Jay-Z instantly struck a chord with Bennington’s fans as they openly praised the sweet gesture of the rapper on social media. One fan tweeted that the Linkin Park vocalist would have been proud of him had he been alive.
Another said that the rapper’s performance of “Numb/Encore” as the last song of his V Fest set was very special. A third fan tweeted that it was one of the best shows of the rapper he had ever seen.

Rick Ross also honored Chester Bennington with his set at Billboard Hot 100 and he too went with “Numb/Encore” to remember the late singer who took his life last month.
However, it was not just Bennington who got a tribute from the 41-year-old rapper. Prodigy, the other half of the hip-hop duo Mobb Deep, was also remembered by Ross at the fest as he played "Shook Ones Pt. II" to pay tribute to the rapper who died two months back on June 20 after getting hospitalized for complications related to sickle cell anemia.
It is worth mentioning here that the suicide of Chester Bennington has shaken his fans across the world and a few days after his death, Linkin Park came up with a website dedicated to the late singer where fans could share their feelings.
