Excited about onboard performance
Bonnie Tyler is pretty excited about her live performance on the total eclipse day and is looking forward to the event.
She told the media that the eclipse is quite short in duration which is not the case with her song and therefore, it had to be clipped. She also said that when she had sung the song for the first time she had never thought that it would play on the radio someday. The 66-year-old singer also expressed excitement at the prospect of performing on a special day saying that such eclipses do not take place every day.
'Total Eclipse' relevant because of timeless appeal
Well, fans would do well to note that this classic of the Welsh crooner is known to climb up on popularity charts during eclipses. Last year’s eclipse in March created a steep rise in the views and listenership of the song and Tyler feels that it is the evergreen essence of the ballad that has kept it alive until this day.
For those who do not know, the song was written by Jim Steinman and it was released in 1983 to huge applause from the critics as well as the audiences across the world. It is a moving number that has been given an ideal rendition by Tyler with her powerful and sincere voice.
