The latest episode of “Game of Thrones” season 7 was aired just last Sunday, and another Stark has finally returned to Winterfell. The latest preview for the upcoming next episode revealed that another one would back home.
Sansa and Bran reunited
“Game of Thrones” season 7 episode 3, which was titled “The Queen’s Justice,” featured mostly of Cersei Lannister’s plans to display her power being put into action while Daenerys Targaryen is brooding over the consecutive insufferable losses. There were several other highlights, but the most memorable one was Sansa Stark and Bran Stark’s reunion.
The two Starks last saw each other back in the first season of “Game of Thrones,” just before Eddard “Ned” Stark headed off to King’s Landing with his two daughters, Sansa and Arya. Bran was left behind with his mother, Catelyn, and his older brothers. Jon Snow, at that time, also headed towards Castle Black to join the Night Watch.
Bran’s sudden return came just in time just when Petyr Baelish, also known as Little Finger, was starting to put ideas into young Sansa’s head again. Jon Snow has left Sansa to take command of Winterfell during his absence, and Baelish has been trying his best to convince Sansa to take more than she already has.
Arya comes home to Winterfell
The new preview from HBO for “Game of Thrones” season 7 episode 4, which is titled “The Spoils of War,” revealed Arya on horseback, looking at Winterfell.
This scene particularly hints that another Stark will be coming back to Winterfell and fans are set to see another reunion between the Stark siblings.
Arya and Sansa haven’t seen each other since they got separated in King’s Landing, shortly after their father’s untimely execution. There are more hints from the next “Game of Thrones” episode's preview that Sansa and Arya might just band together against Little Finger.
Little Finger dies soon?
In the said new preview, Little Finger is seen unsheathing his Valyrian steel dagger, and Sansa is going through records that House Stark's maester created based on the messages that the ravens have sent and received, which was seen in the early seasons of the series. There are speculations that Sansa will learn of Little Finger’s role in Ramsay Bolton’s plans to taking over Winterfell and marrying her.
There were already subtle hints before the official release of the new season of “Game of Thrones” that Arya might be the one to kill Little Finger. With what the preview revealed, Sansa and Arya will most likely team up to bring Little Finger down, who was responsible for many of their family members’ gruesome demise.
