"Dancing with the Stars" 2017 premieres Sept. 25 on ABC, and according to a promo that aired during the Aug. 23 edition of "Good Morning America," fans don't have long to wait until the new cast of celebrity Mirrorball Trophy contenders is formally unveiled. Per the video, the "DWTS" season 25 lineup will be revealed during the Sept. 6 iteration of "GMA," six days after the pro cast is spilled on Aug. 24.

'Dancing with the Stars' season 25 casting spoilers leaked?

Although "DWTS" producers do not comment on casting rumors, the names of a few rumored season 25 contestants have leaked in recent days.

An Aug. 21st People exclusive cited an unnamed source who claimed that both "Property Brothers" star Drew Scott, a 39-year old real estate expert and reality TV star, and "Total Divas" star Nikki Bella, 33, will be part of the "Dancing With The Stars" 2017 celebrity lineup. Neither Scott nor Bella have commented on the rumors.

'DWTS' season 25 pro cast reveal looms

The celebrity lineup may be formally under wraps until Sept. 6, but fans have just hours to wait before the identities of the talented professional dancers who will shepherd the stars toward Mirrorball glory this fall are revealed on the morning of Aug. 24. Although none of the dancers have confirmed whether or not they will take part, six-time "Dancing with the Stars" pro champion Derek Hough is unlikely to be among the ranks, given his commitment to NBC and the Jennifer Lopez brainchild "World of Dance."

Also unlikely to return for another go at the glittering top prize is fan-favorite Mark Ballas, who last competed on "DWTS" with UFC fighter Paige VanZant during season 22.

(The high-powered super duo placed second behind winners Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd.) Ballas, who owns two "Dancing with the Stars" titles from the series' early days, on Aug. 2 told ET "eh, not at this point" when asked if he was planning to return for season 25. He did, however, go on to add "never say never."

Return of two familiar 'DWTS' faces on tap?

Although he didn't dish specific details, longtime "Dancing with the Stars" host Tom Bergeron did drop a small casting morsel during an Aug.

18 interview with ABC's George Pennacchio. Per Bergeron, two former "DWTS" pros will be part of the cast this fall. Potential contenders --among others-- could include Cheryl Burke, who last danced alongside Olympic champ Ryan Lochte during season 23, and Tony Dovolani, whose most recent ballroom stint came in season 22.

Watch "Good Morning America" on Aug. 24 and again on Sept. 6 to see the entire "Dancing with the Stars" 2017 lineup take shape in real-time. Season 25 premieres Sept. 18 on ABC.
