In the coming Criminal MindsSeason 13, Mr. Scratch (Bodhi Elfman) will be finally caught by the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). He is also known as Peter Lewis and in a short time, fans will finally see the serial killer behind bars after he escaped with 12 other prisoners in Season 11. In an interview with TV Guide, Adam Rodriguez, who plays the role of Luke Alvez, hinted that Scratch’s days of freedom are now numbered.

Catching Mr. Scratch

To recall, since the prison break, Mr. Scratch has been targeting the BAU members and their families to take revenge.

In the previous season, he took his vengeance against Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) and his mother Diana Reid (Jane Lynch). The genius criminal managed to put the Supervisory Special Agent inside the prison and then tortured him by abducting his sick mom.

However, Adam Rodriguez revealed that Mr. Scratch may now fall into the BAU’s trap in “Criminal Minds” Season 13. As the offender is known for having a brilliant mind with outstanding ability, the agency needs to have a well-planned scheme to catch the fugitive without him knowing.

According to Christian Post, there is a big possibility that the BAU will use Spencer as their bait to make him come out from his hiding place. To recall, Mr.

Scratch enjoyed playing games with the autodidact. But, it is now a big question whether the agent will let himself be used for luring the evil villain after his sufferings at his hands.

The things Spencer has been through with Mr. Scratch are considered as one of his biggest nightmares. In fact, he is in need of therapy, still in trauma, and far from being well.

Mr. Scratch’s future

Meanwhile, in an interview with TV Guide in May, executive producer Erica Messer admitted that she is still confused as to whether she will let Mr. Scratch be finally locked up again in the coming “Criminal Minds” Season 13.

However, after three months, it looks like fans will now know the future of Peter Lewis in the return of the police procedural drama.

Speaking at the recent CBS' Television Critics Association summer press tour party, Adam Rodriguez revealed that Scratch will be finally put back in prison. "I think we're gonna get our hands on Mr. Scratch, maybe," he teased.

On the other hand, Paget Brewster, who portrays Emily Prentiss, revealed that Rodriguez’s statement could be “a great pun” that fans will soon witness in the return of the television series.

“Criminal Minds” Season 13 Episode 1 will be released on Sept. 27 on CBS.
