When Handler first adopted Tammy, she told fans the news and stated that Tammy was a street dog who had been rescued from Mexico.
Handler expressed her immediate connection with Tammy and stated that the dog had found her forever home. It appeared that the pair were a match made in heaven and Handler often took to Instagram to share photographs of her canine friend. After only two-months of being with Chelsea Handler Tammy's Instagram, account wound up with over 20,000 followers.
Tammy often featured on the set of Handlers show alongside Handler's other dog Chuck. Fans were captivated by the beautiful canines and were devastated when Chelsea Handler announced the news that Tammy was no longer with them
