Hit reality talent competition “America’s Got Talent” welcomed back the winner of last year’s season, Grace Vanderwaal. She performed during Wednesday’s episode before the announcement of the acts that will move on to the next rounds.

VanderWaal reportedly performed her song “Moonlight” during that night show, leaving the four judges cheering and giving her a standing ovation. The 13-year-old talent won during the 11th season of “America’s got talent.”

During her comeback performance, she spoke to the crowd and said, “It is great to be here!” The young singer will go on tour to feature her performances and her hit songs, People reported.

The host of the reality competition, Tyra Banks, also said that VanderWaal’s stunning performance during the live eliminations is living proof that the show can change the lives of people. The young artist tweeted how excited she was to perform on the show, ahead of Wednesday’s episode.

Her winning moment

Grace came to the spotlight when she performed her audition song “I Don’t Know My Name” during the first episodes of “America’s Got Talent” Season 11. Her audition video went viral online, earning thousands of shares from viewers and fans.

Then, she went on to win round by round until her winning moment. As last year’s season ended, Grace was awarded one million dollars as her prize, and headlined various shows in Las Vegas, the report added.

The 12th season of “America’s Got Talent” aired back on Wednesday to announce which acts will move to the next rounds of the competition. According to Reality TV World, the talents that successfully earned a spot in the semi-finals are: male a cappella group “In The Stairwell,” the 12-year-old ventriloquist Darci Lynne, the nine-year-old singer Angelica Hale, roller skating duo Benny England and Emily England, and comedian Preacher Lawson.

These acts all wowed the audience and judges during their performances earlier this week. One of the judges, Simon Cowell said that America had the entire night “100 percent right,” and expressed how he was thrilled with the results.

The next episode of “America’s Got Talent” is airing on August 22 with a new set of 12 acts competing for the live shows.

Then they will also go through the same elimination process to find out which acts move on to the semi-finals, and vie for the ultimate title.

The show features its new host, supermodel Tyra Banks alongside judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B and Heidi Klum.
