The coming of “Ash vs. Evil Dead” Season 3 is now confirmed, so fans will once again see Ashley J. Williams (Bruce Campbell) slaying along with his friends. Viewers are now wondering what the show is going to offer this time, especially as there are changes being made.
In an interview with Sirius XM for Entertainment Weirdly, the television show’s 59-year-old lead star teased what is about to come and the series’ future. He, too, excited viewers over the changes that might affect the series' story.
Exploring Ash’s mythology
The coming “Ash vs. Evil Dead” Season 3 now has a new showrunner with the “Daredevil” executive producer Mark Verheiden.
He replaced Craig DiGregorio.
The television show’s season finale was also rewritten and now has a new direction to take.
“We’re hoping it will be a game-changer,” Bruce Campbell said (via Entertainment Weekly). The writer-producer teased that this might be the perfect time to explore Ash William’s mythology as the character was just predicted in an ancient book. “This is not me, this is the character talking,” he added.
He went on to explain that his role was not just some unknown guy found in a park, but he was actually a prophecy. Thus, there is a lingering question why he is the chosen one. As he finally got some answers, the turn of events went prettily crazy, so he is hoping that viewers have recovered from awe.
“That’s what we’re going for,” Bruce Campbell continued. He then teased that if they will ever return for the fourth season, nothing will ever be the same. But if they don’t come back, he believed that they have already done a “nice little ba-dink.”
All about the family
Meanwhile, in a different interview with GameSpot, Bruce Campbell teased what fans could expect in “Ash vs.
Evil Dead” Season 3.
“Ash might be somewhat of a father in season three," he told GS. The anti-hero is said to be raising a rowdy dogmatic daughter.
To recall, the coming of Brock Williams (Lee Majors) in the previous season made the viewers see Ashley William’s home life. Traveling to Elk Grove, Michigan and meeting his father just showed his human side.
By the looks of it, the third season will be also about exploring the protagonist’s family tree.
"What I really think that season three is focusing on is the idea of family,” Dana DeLorenzo, who plays the role of Kelly, teased. She explained that there were three underdogs in the show, then they will be introducing the actual family, and these will change the dynamics of the characters to fulfill their real destinies.
