Weeks after Aaron Carter was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence, he revealed that he is bisexual and that he wants to date actress Chloe Grace Moretz. This comes after Moretz admitted in a recent interview that Carter is her childhood crush.
Carter was in a relationship with photographer Madison Parker when he was arrested and was not able to attend his performance at Kansas City, Missouri but they called it quits just last week, E! News reported.
Moretz admits Carter was her childhood crush
The 20-year-old actress was interviewed recently by Variety and she said that Carter was her childhood crush when she was around four years old.
She revealed that she thought the singer was cool. Moretz also recounted that she and her friend both liked Carter and they fought over who would get the singer one day. She added towards the end of her revelation, “Who knows? Maybe we’ll meet.”
He took to Twitter to say that he caught wind of Moretz’s remark and he asked Moretz if he could take her to dinner. Carter added in a follow-up tweet that he and Moretz should set up a date because “the crush is mutual.”
It remains unknown whether Moretz answered Carter privately. If so, she and Carter are yet to make a public statement about how their date went, if ever the actress did say yes.
Carter reveals he is bisexual
Carter asking Moretz out came after he revealed that he is attracted to both men and women.
He said in an open letter that he grew up in the entertainment industry at a very young age and revealed that when he was around 13 years old, he found out that was attracted to both boys and girls. Carter said that he did not think a lot about it and was only in a relationship with girls until he was 17 years old. He revealed that he had an experience with a male, who he worked with while growing up.
He did not reveal who the guy is.
Later, in an interview on “The Bert Show,” Carter said that him coming out as a bisexual played a part in the break-up with Parker. He said that she did not understand and did not want to so they decided to go their separate ways.
Singer breaks down during performance in Florida
The New York Daily News reported that Carter broke down while performing in Florida.
The 29-year-old was at Hamburger Mary’s in Brandon, Florida, which is a gay club, and he felt overwhelmed due to the support that the LGBTQ community at the event showed him. He pointed at guys whom he thought were gorgeous and dedicated a song to Parker.
