"Dancing With The Stars" returns on September 18 with a star-studded cast and a fantastic lineup of pro dancers. There are a few surprises in store for viewers, including the upcoming announcement of another pro who will be added to the roster and the big reveal of the 13 Celebrities who will be competing for the Mirrorball Trophy. Here's what we know so far about "DWTS" season 25.
Lucky number 13
Twelve pros were introduced on "Good Morning America" last week but there's one more! According to Entertainment Tonight, Cheryl Burke will return to "Dancing with the Stars" this season and she's "really excited." The last time Cheryl was in the ballroom was season 24 when she was partnered with Olympic swimmer, Ryan Lochte.
Burke has been busy since she last competed on "DWTS" — she replaced Abby Lee Miller on Lifetime's "Dance Moms" for the second half of season 7 and will appear on "Love on the Floor" in 2018.
Cheryl joins 12 other pros
In addition to Burke, fans will see some familiar faces in the ABC ballroom this season. Mark Ballas, who co-hosted the pro-reveal on "GMA" last week, is back and ready to compete for season 25 Mirrorball trophy.
Joining Mark on the dance floor will be brand new pro, Alan Bernsten, and 10 pro dancers who have been around for awhile — Keo Motsepe, Artem Chigvintsev, Sharna Burgess, Witney Carson, Maks Chmerkovskiy, Val Chmerkovskiy, Gleb Savchenko, Lindsay Arnold, Peta Murgatroyd, and last year's champion, Emma Slater.
Celebrity cast reveal just days away
Many fans assumed the "Dancing with the Stars" season 25 celebrity dancers would be introduced with their pro partners on last week's "Good Morning America" reveal. ABC is changing things up this season, but fans won't have to wait long until the network reveals the celebrities alongside their pro partners.
Set your DVR now if you're going to be away from your TV on September 6. Host Tom Bergeron will introduce the 13 celebrity dancers between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. ET on "Good Morning America."
This season, ABC has been keeping the names of the celebrities under wraps. There is usually a cast leak several weeks prior to the cast reveal, but information is scarce.
So far, only two names have surfaced as far as the celebrity cast goes. Entertainment Tonight reports HGTV's "Property Brothers" star, Drew Scott and WWE wrestler Nikki Bella will be part of the season 25 cast.
Who are the other 11 celebrity contestants? Tune into "Good Morning America" on September 6 to find out! Then, mark your calendar for the "DWTS" season 25 premiere — September 18 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
