There are only a few hours left before the MTV Video Music Awards 2017 begins, but speculations about surprises coming from Katy Perry and Taylor Swift are still on the roll. Rumors revealed that the “Swish Swish” singer will have a grand entrance descending from the ceiling.

ABC News shared a video of the event’s preview, showing what appeared to be a rehearsal of Perry’s grand entrance. She is slated to host the much-awaited show, where she will showcase her musical prowess filled with dress changes and spectacular stage performances.

When she was announced as host of the event, she teased fans with her tweets.

She wrote, “Introducing your Moonwoman. Brace for impact! Come August 27th, I’ll be ready to be your Moon Woman! Brace for impact, kids.”

Previous reports on Blasting News revealed that Perry will be performing on the stage that has been designed to appear like outer space. The 2017 MTV VMAs will air live at The Forum in Inglewood, California on Sunday night.

Taylor Swift’s surprise

The greatest rival of Katy Perry is also set to surprise fans at the 2017 Video Music Awards. ABC News reported that Swift is not included on the list of performers, but she will unveil the new music video of her latest single, “Look What You Made Me Do.”

There are rumors that say the female country singer will surprise fans by suddenly showing up, and sharing the stage with the “Bon Appetit” singer.

The meet-up will end their long-time feud that has been lasting for several years.

After all, the singer has been known for last-minute surprises, the report further noted. Swift only got one nomination for “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” a music collaboration with co-star Zayn Malik. Reuters reported that it is still not clear whether she will even attend the musical awards show.

Amazing line-up

Beyond all the surprises from pop singers, the 2017 MTV VMAs are set to feature amazing performances from various artists. There will be two venues of the event, the main show which will be held in California and a remote show to be held in Las Vegas.

Among the performers for the event will be Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, Shawn Mendes, Fifth Harmony, Lorde, and Kendrick Lamar. Also gracing the stage are Alessia Cara, KYLE, Khalid, Julia Michaels, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and Demi Lovato.

Transgender military troops were also invited to attend. The Video Music Awards is an annual show that honors the best musical artists in the industry.
