Right after Ariana Grande finished her 'Dangerous Woman' concert at Manchester Arena on May 2017, twenty-two people died including seven children when Salman Abedi exploded the area with a suicide bomb. The singer and her fans were horrified by the incident that caused injuries to another 116 individuals.

As reported, Ariana visited the victims in Manchester and held a fund raising One Love Manchester concert on June 4 to help the victims and spread the message of unity all over the world.

Several famous stars joined her at the concert, including Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Chris Martin, Pharrell Willaims, Usher and Miley Cyrus. The proceeds of over $3 million were given to the We Love Manchester Emergency fund, organized by the Manchester City Council and the British Red Cross.

Now, the time has come that the families can benefit from the efforts of the stars, volunteers, generous public and of others involved.

Each family received $324K

We Love Manchester Fund was established to serve the purpose of helping the victims and was able to raise $23 million. The organization headed by its Councillor Eddy Newman, the Lord Mayor of Manchester, will be giving the fund to the families of the victims.

All of the grieving families of the 22 victims will receive $324,000 each.

According to Us Weekly, in a statement by the organization given in a press release on August 15, they assured everyone, especially the families, will receive their share from the remarkable generosity of the people after the attack.

The city and the world responded extreme kindness, generosity, and solidarity

Deputy Leader, Councillor Sue Murphy, added to the press release that the city and the world answered the call to help with such extreme 'kindness, generosity and solidarity.' She gave her heartfelt thanks to the people around the world that made the $23 million available to those with immediate needs.

Besides the mourning families, those who were hospitalized also received $4.5 million dollars.

For the rest of the funds, the organization will find time to sit and think of how they will dispose of the money which they find to be a complex and sensitive process.

Ariana Grande the first ever honorary citizen of Manchester

Honorary citizenship is new and one of the highest awards that noncitizens can receive from the City of Manchester. The honor was proposed by Council leader Sir Richard Leese to recognize those who make noteworthy contributions to the life and success of Manchester City.

According to CNN, Ariana Grande received the newly-created honor. On July 12, the Manchester City Council voted unanimously to bestow the singer with the Honorary Citizen award to recognize her involvement to what they described as 'magnificent response' to the tragedy.
