The 2017 Teen Choice Award saw Chris Pratt winning the best sci-fi movie actor award for his role in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.” The actor's fans were left utterly shocked after the actor announced his split with wife Anna Faris a few days back, but it looks like the actor has made up his mind to get over the breakup. His attendance at the award ceremony held in Los Angeles on Sunday night, was also his first public appearance after he announced that he is separating from his wife, last week.

Millie Bobby Brown, Grace VanderWaal and Maddie Ziegler presented Pratt the surfboard

Chriss Pratt looked genial as he turned up on stage to receive the custom-made surfboard award for best sci-fi movie actor for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.” Though he did not walk the red carpet, he did not seem sad either. He thanked Millie Bobby Brown, Grace VanderWaal and Maddie Ziegler profusely as they presented him the trophy saying that it was an honor and privilege to be there at the Teen Choice Awards. He also expressed his gratitude for the audiences and exhorted them to give a loud cheer for the girls’ trio.

Pratt recounted funny anecdote

Pratt did not stop at that and narrated a funny incident that happened with him in Los Angeles long time back.

He revealed that when he had come to Los Angeles from Hawaii, he had blonde hair and tanned skin. He met an agent because he was keen to get into acting. So, when he met one, he told him that he must be surfing and he lied that he did. Recounting the lie, he said that it was one of the manifold lies he told to reach where he is today.

He also thanked the almighty seriously for the award saying that he would not have been on the stage without the blessings of Jesus. Lastly, he gave a loud cheer for James Gunn, writer-director of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and the film also won the award for the best sci-fi movie.

Winners urged youth to unite for love

The Teen Choice Awards 2017 not just turned out to be a gala event with awards, music and speeches, the winners also poured out their hearts about the recent violence at the Charlottesville rally.
