"The Originals" Season 5 is definitely not leaving the supernatural world without wrapping up a successful and satisfying ending for its millions of viewers. Just recently at the Comic Con stage, the cast, alongside show runner Julie Plec, attended the event for the last time and did not miss the chance to drop a few exciting hints about what's to come in the final season of the mega-popular series.

Season 4 has bid farewell in April this year and several fan-made theories about the possible aftermath in the upcoming season are becoming more and more rampant.

When Plec announced that Season 5 is going to be the series' final season, many fans were saddened, but it also brewed more excitement among viewers.

Sneak peek video hinted at the Comic Con 2017

A short sneak peek video of what can be in store in the upcoming season was shown at the event, which flaunted a cameo participation of some characters from its primary series "The Vampire Diaries." Not too many details were hinted at and twists can also take place in the new season, so everything remains on a thin line until the series returns to the small screens in 2018.

As per Deadline, the teaser video also flaunted the teenage appearance of Hope Mikaelson, (Danielle Rose Russell) who is set to pay a visit to Mystic Falls after she is enrolled in the Salvatore School, which owned by Caroline Forbes (Candice King) and Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis).

Though Plec and The CW have yet to release the full synopsis of the pilot episode, the whispers and rumors are saying that a portion of "The Originals" season 5 will be relatively connected to "TVD," with Hope as one of the main highlights. While writers and runners of the show can actually sketch a lot of unexpected plots out of Russell's character as Hope, the much-talked about crossover cameos won't be missing a spot in the final season.

What to expect in the 'final season'

The well-admired television series will soon be on the verge of saying its final farewell after Season 5 and many admitted that the sudden news has yet to sink in and they still couldn't get over the sad fact that their favorite vampire series is finally going to end soon.

Despite the sudden downside, the whole gang of "The Originals" is now gearing up to create a fulfilling final season for its viewers.

Social media hyped up up what will come, and Season 5 is also a sweet goodbye for The Original gang Niklaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood), Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), Freya (Riley Voelkel), and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), so everything about the final season can definitely become more than just what the spoilers and predictions are saying.
