Fans are now waiting for the return of “The 100” Season 5 on The CW. As a treat, the network has revealed the first episode synopsis for the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2017. The stars of the science fiction television series will grace the panel at the coming SDCC happening on July 20 to 23. The network will also reveal a video presentation about the show.
First episode synopsis
After the epic season finale, the post-apocalyptic television series will be definitely back with a vengeance. It has been more than six years since Praimfaya destroyed the earth and killed nearly everyone on the planet.
After everything that happened, there will be a mysterious ship coming. As Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) is waiting to hear something from her group on the Ark or in the bunker, a strange craft will drop from the sky. The big question is whether the coming stranger is a new friend or foe? Whoever it is, it can’t change the fact that show's protagonist is already the official Grounder.
“Be among the first to find out what’s in store for season five,” the synopsis read. According to Bleeding Cool, aside from the video presentation, there will be Q&A session with the show’s stars composed of Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropolous, and Lindsey Morgan. Christopher Larkin, Richard Harmon, and the executive producer Jason Rothenberg will also be there.
The return of ‘The 100’
The fight to save the people will continue in “The 100” Season 5. Now that the 100 came back a full circle and the survivors are safe in the bunker, it looks like their fate is in the hands of Clarke Griffin.
Eliza Taylor's character did her best to stop the nuclear apocalypse but it was an impossible mission.
She and her group had to find a way to try and secure the safety of the people and fortunately, they found a bunker. Nevertheless, the bunker could only hold 100 people from each tribe, and they were forced to make a heartbreaking selection of Skaikru citizens.
The TV series’ release dates
Meanwhile, in an interview with TV Guide, Jason Rothenberg revealed the possibility of a Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) and Octavia Blake’s (Marie Avgeropoulos) reunion.
However, this will only happen if the two have survived the radiation wave. Den of Geek pointed out that the date of “The 100” Season 5 release on The CW has not yet been confirmed so it might take a little while before fans finally see it back on the small screen.
