The Elite Praetorian Guards of Supreme Leader Snoke are said to be coming in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” In fact, a new leak of the First Order’s sentinels is now emerging online giving a closer look at their appearance.
The promotional arts and tie-in merchandisers often give us a look at these new characters coming in the movie’s eighth episode. As the Force Friday is coming pretty close, in September, fans can expect to see more leaks about the much-awaited film.
The guards look
Photos revealed the alleged look of the Elite Praetorian Guards in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” Allegedly, these sentries wear their own red helmet and suit that will be different from the Stormtroopers.
They, too, have their own weapons. Some said that their looks are very similar to the royal guards of Emperor Palpatine, so some assume that they will be also seen in action protecting their leader. In this case, it will be Supreme Leader Snoke.
However, it is not yet revealed how many of these watchers are going to be seen guarding the leader of the First Order. Star Wars News Net and posts on Reddit revealed that these toys might be seen at the coming Last Jedi Force Friday.

The sentries’ different types
Moreover, fans just see a few glimpses of Supreme Leader Snoke in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” so his guards are seldom seen.
Just earlier this year, the Elite Praetorian Guards were featured as an artwork for a pinball toy and on a soft drink can that were all inspired by the coming Episode 8. There are strong assumptions that they will be playing a major role in the film with the exposure they are getting.
According to Comic Book, the usual revealed image of the protectors is just one type of the sentinels.
In fact, there is another one that is carrying a more Mandalorian-looking helmet.
To recall, the Emperor's Royal Guard was first introduced in the 1983 film of the original trilogy “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.” But, they were neither seen in an action nor engaged in a fight. Just like in “The Force Awakens,” they were guarding Snoke’s hologram.
This is why fans are expecting to see these sentries watching over the First Order’s leader when they buy the toy version.
The stars’ take on the film
In other news, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” cast members gave little teasers of the upcoming movie at the recent D23 Expo 2017.
Gwendoline Christie, who plays the role of Captain Phasma, teased that it would be a “huge film” and a big responsibility for its director Rian Johnson. Daisy Ridley, who portrays Rey, on the other hand, revealed that it would be surprising compared to its predecessors.
