After its premiere in 2014, “Outlander” has undoubtedly continued to captivate viewers and fans every season. And the third season that will premiere soon has more in store for Claire played by Caitriona Balfe, and Jamie played by Sam Heughan after their 20-year parting.
The members of the “Outlander” Season 3 show have stated their experiences while filming, during the recently held San Diego Comic-Con. After being introduced by actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum, producer Ronald D. Moore said that there will be a lot of stories to tell now that Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe will be living away from each other.
‘Outlander’ Season 3 will challenge Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan’s relationship
The spoiler left fans assuming that the first episodes will not have Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe’s roles glued together so soon. Sam Heughan’s character will also be battling in the 18th century while Caitriona Balfe’s Claire will be in the 1960’s.
The time travel series is also expected to focus more on the characters’ experiences with different times, characters, and locations. Another interesting and tragic part of the season would be the birth of Brianna that will be carried by Balfe’s character without Jamie.
Because of this, fans are speculating that the love scenes, especially between Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, will not be as grand, or many, as it was in the past seasons.
But the actress did tease the fans via Vanity Fair and assured them that if they wait a little longer, they’ll notice that there won’t be a scarcity of such love scenes.
More ‘Outlander’ spoilers revealed
But let us not forget about Tobias Menzies’ Frank Randall that will be around during Brianna’s birth and who knows what he’ll do this time.
During the San Diego Comic-Con Panel he said, “He’s a surprisingly kind of a complicated and interesting character, and I think there is such an important ingredient of the very rich mix that is this show.” when he was asked about his Frank Randall.
When asked about his other character, Jonathan “Black Jack” Randall, the actor stated that playing the character was “such a fun one.” We’d probably expect more nominations from him in the future due to his charismatic portrayal of both roles.
While most of the actors involved like Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are extra careful with spoiling fans, the creators of the show are surely moving forward positively, while trying to be as accurate as the books and as well written as the previous episodes. The highly-anticipated show, “Outlander” Season 3 is expected to premiere on September 10, 2017, on Starz network.
