CBS and Jennifer Esposito have confirmed the latter’s exit in “NCIS.” Now, it is a big question how the network will feature Alexandra Quinn’s departure in the coming “NCIS” Season 15.

The rumors have it that the last scene of the female Special Agent in the police procedural drama’s previous season has a connection with her disappearance. in fact, it has to do something with the phone call she received.

Quinn’s exit

In “NCIS” Season 14’s final episode, Alexandra Quinn received an important phone call, which assumed to be from her mother, Marie (Mercedes Ruehl).

To recall, it was revealed that the role of the 69-year-old guest star has dementia, thus she needs her daughter to take care of her. The phone call might be her mother’s plead for her to leave her work as part of NCIS Major Case Response Team and be with her.

Alexandra Quinn already knows the case of her mother. In fact, she has told Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Nicholas Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) her fears about Marie’s condition. She admitted she’s afraid not to be there with her mom in case of emergencies. Especially now that Marie’s situation is getting worse as she is starting to hallucinate and see her dead husband.

With Jennifer Esposito’s exit, it is not yet revealed if she will still be seen in “NCIS” Season 15 as a guest star or a returning character.

Esposito’s statement

Moreover, Jennifer Esposito’s character as Alexandra Quinn is one of the newly added roles in the NCIS team after the exit of Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly).

Her role was made by Gary Glasberg before he passed away in September 2016. In the premiere episode of “NCIS” Season 14, she was introduced as an instructor at the Law Enforcement Training Center.

In her backstory, she was having a hard time to cope with the death of her husband that she believed she was responsible for. Hence, Leroy Jethro Gibbs had convinced her to work again as a federal agent with him to forget everything she had been through.

In an interview with Deadline, Jennifer Esposito revealed she is still grateful in spite of her short stay in the television series.

“It was a great experience,” she told the publication. She explained that it was a great opportunity to have worked with the cast and crew of the CBS’ long-running drama.

Fans should wait and see the return of “NCIS” Season 15 on Sept. 26 to witness how it will exactly feature Alex Quinn’s exit. Also, to see what will happen to Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) in Paraguay.
