Liam Hemsworth has called off his Wedding to fiancé Miley Cyrus. After several years of an on-again, off-again relationship, they became engaged in 2016. They were in the process of making wedding plans, but Liam is the one who called the wedding off on his own without Miley having a voice in the decision. At first, she was not pleased with the decision, but now it seems that she has accepted it.

The journey

People who watched Nicholas Sparks' "The Last Song" in the movies couldn't help but notice that there was chemistry between the two stars. Actually, that when Liam and Miley first met in June 2009.

Since then, they have dated, broken up, gotten engaged, broken up, and the last time they got engaged was in April 2016. Their fans thought it was a sure thing this time because it had been the longest they have stayed engaged, and they were making progress on planning a wedding. That's something they had never done before. Now in 2017 a little over a year, the wedding has been called off.

Not a mutual decision

The decision to call off the wedding was not a mutual decision, according to Life & Style magazine. Hemsworth is reportedly the one to have called the wedding off, and Cyrus was not pleased with the one-sided decision. It seems that Miley was really into the wedding preparations, but Liam wasn't so much.

"The Hunger Games" actor felt overwhelmed, and it became too stressful for him to continue with the process.

Miley didn't like it at first, but she is adjusting to the idea of curtailing her wedding plans. She respects Liam's decision even though she wished he hasn't called the wedding off.

Miley was changing

Over the last few months, Miley's fans have seen a change in her.

Miley mentioned on talk shows that she was changing her ways. It seems like she was not only planning a wedding, but she was also making major adjustments in her own life. She told Billboard in May that she had given up drugs and alcohol and was clean because she wanted a better image. Hopefully, the cancellation of the wedding won't set her back and make her return to her old ways.

The 24-year-old "Malibu" singer has mentioned on several occasions that she wants to be married. Her parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus weren't happy with the news that Liam, 27, had canceled the wedding. They were looking forward to seeing their daughter settling down. For now, Miley, as well as her parents, will just have to wait to see what Miley's future holds. Even though the wedding is off, it appears that her relationship with Liam is still on.
