O.J. Simpson had his parole hearing yesterday in a court in Nevada. His charges of armed robbery, assault and more were heavily examined at the hearing. After a long deliberation, the judge finally decided to grant Simpson's parole. He will be freed on the first of September. Kris Jenner and the Kardashian family were very close to O.J. as Robert Kardashian, now deceased, was a close friend of his. Robert defended O.J. in court when he was accused of murdering his ex-wife. According to Romper, Kris Jenner believes that Simpson is guilty of the murder he was acquitted of and fears for her safety and the safety of her children.
Kris Jenner and O.J. Simpson have a history
According to Hollywood Life, Kris Jenner and O.J. Simpson have a history that precedes the former NFL stars stint in jail. Back in 1994, Kris Jenner's close friend Nicole Brown Simpson was found murdered on the steps of her home. Jenner has spoken openly about the event and stated that the days before her murder Nicole was deeply worried about something. O.J. Simpson was put on trial for his ex-wife's murder.
Kris Jenner was convinced that he had something to do with Nicole's death. At the time many believed the same and thought that O.J. would be found guilty of murdering Nicole and sentenced to life in prison. However, in a twist Kris' husband at the time, Robert Kardashian was Simpson's close friend and lawyer during the case.
Though Jenner believed that O.J. should be sentenced to prison, she has stated that she could not talk about the case at home due to her husband's close involvement.
How the star feels now that Simpson has been granted parole
According to Romper, Kris believes that Simpson murdered Nicole and as such the star is not happy that he has been granted parole.
A source close to Kris has stated that she would prefer if he remained in jail. Last month when the parole hearing was set Kris Jenner had strong feelings about O.J. being released from prison. She stated that she was scared that he would approach her family and spill some heavy secrets about her and the children.
Jenner has stated that Simpson has the power to destroy the entire Kardashian family.
As well as that she worries for the safety of herself and her children. According to the Hollywood Life, Simpson would often sit and watch "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." He was a close family friend to Kris' former husband Robert Kardashian, and Jenner fears that he might have nowhere else to go and think of coming to visit the Kardashians.
Since his parole has been granted Kris Jenner has not made any public comments. It is entirely possible that she fears Simpson will come after her and her family. Jenner has stated in the past how much the trial affected her life and the life of her children.
