Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are set to take to our screens once again in a new TV series which is as of yet still unnamed, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The series, which is being directed by HBO's Michael Ellenberg along with his new TV and film production company Media Res, is about behind-the-scenes media and morning TV shows. There has not been a confirmed release date but it is believed the series will air in the upcoming weeks and will be available on popular streaming site Netflix. 41-year-old Witherspoon and 48-year-old Aniston are reportedly going to be credited as executive producers of the show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script is being written by "House of Cards" writer Jay Carson, and producer and screenwriter of Happy Potter, Steve Kloves, will be executive producer.

Not the first time Jennifer and Reese have joined forces on TV

Aniston, who played Rachel Green on NBC's TV series "Friends" from 1994 to 2004, acted alongside Witherspoon on the show. Reese played character Green's little sister Jill, appearing in two episodes of season six of the series. Jill was known on "Friends" as being overly-spoiled and self-centered. Since the show ended in 2004, Aniston has starred in a number of films including "Marley and Me" and "The Millers". Witherspoon, who is perhaps most famed for her main role in the movie "Legally Blonde", has also acted in films "Wild" and "Hot Pursuit".

The new series will be Aniston's first long-term role on a TV show since "Friends", though she has made appearances on "30 Rock" and "Burning Love". Witherspoon has played one of the main characters on "Big Little Lies" alongside Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley.

What else is going on in the stars' lives

Aniston is currently married to Justin Theroux, a fellow actor, and screenwriter.

The couple has been together for seven years and married in 2015. Prior to this, Aniston was married to actor Brad Pitt. They divorced in 2005 amongst rumors that Pitt was having an affair with his now ex-wife, Angelina Jolie. Aniston has spoken out about being degraded as a woman for not having children. The star wrote a blog post on The Huffington Post in 2016 saying she was fed-up with pregnancy rumors and being made to feel like less of a woman for being childless.

Witherspoon is married to Jim Toth and has three children, two from her previous marriage to actor Ryan Phillipe.
