Zombies are now out in the coming “iZombie” Season 4. After the intense hostage taking in the previous season, fans can expect to see more of these soulless corpses in the show’s next chapter.

In an interview with the television series’ creator Rob Thomas, he teased that the new installment will be about a story of corruption. Also, things are about to be different as the entire country is getting zombie-infested.

The growing numbers of zombies

“[It’s a] story about corruption,” Rob Thomas told TV Line about “iZombie” Season 4. Now that there is a shortage of brain to feed the proliferating zombies in Seattle, the black market for brains is going to emerge.

Zombies are going hungry,” he added. With that, this situation will give the executive producer and the show’s writers a bunch of storylines to produce. Although the thought of hungry zombies is quite frightening to imagine, this will be a great start for the new season to watch, Bleeding Cool reported.

To recall, it was a surprised when the zombies went public and held the people in Seattle hostage. This was their way to ask the government to give them the brains of the newly died citizens in the U.S. However, Chase Graves (Jason Dohring) secretly led the Fillmore Graves’ troops to replace the free flu vaccine with zombie blood and injected it to the residents of the City of Washington. Thus, this made the undead’s population grew overnight.

A different scenario

The exponential rate of the zombies is now a big threat in the coming “iZombie” Season 4. Will this cause Zombie Apocalypse in the future new installment?

In an interview with Nerdist, Rob Thomas teased that next chapter will be “pretty radically different.” “In some ways, some things will be familiar,” he added.

Liv (Rose McIver) and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) are still going to solve the murders in Seattle. But aside from this, the events and the town itself are going to be out of ordinary.

In the fourth season, zombies and humans will be living side-by-side, perfectly knowing each other’s kinds. These living deads will also be hanging out publicly, and they will be having touchy relationships with people.

Although there’s a threat of a zombie apocalypse, Rob Thomas insisted that everyone is avoiding this to happen. “What I think it feels like is the Cuban Missile Crisis,” he disclosed. The government can just quickly make the Seattle explode, but this might never happen.

“iZombie” Season 4 is expected to return in 2018 on The CW.
