HBO's Making "Game of Thrones" page recently shared several photos of documents that played a key role in the second episode of "Game of Thrones" season 7. The photo gallery includes a picture of the heartbreaking letter Ser Jorah Mormont was writing to Daenerys Targaryen when Samwell Tarly came to see him.
Jorah's letter to Khaleesi
Below you can find the photo of the letter posted on Twitter by the official "Game of Thrones" account:
At first, Jorah Mormont talks about his decision to go to the Citadel in hope to find a cure for his disease.
Sadly, the first part of the letter is full of defeatism. "I'm beyond any cure but the grave," wrote Ser Jorah, who was told by Ebrose that his disease couldn't be cured, and was also instructed that he was going to be sent to Valyria to live with the other stone men.
"I have had a longer life than I deserved," continues Mormont, perhaps remembering the moment when Daenerys chose to spare his life. "I only wish I could've lived to see the world you're going to build."
As you can see from his words, he's still crazy in love with the Mother of Dragons. "I have loved you since the moment I met you," wrote Jorah at the end of the letter.
He's a really sweet knight, isn't he?
Hopefully, Jorah will speak with Daenerys again
In "Game of Thrones" season 7 episode 2, "Stormborn," while Ser Jorah is writing his letter to the Dragon Queen, Samwell Tarly enters the room with a heavy book and some not-properly sanitized medical equipment. Jon Snow's friend knew Jorah's father pretty well, and he wants to save Mormont at any cost.
We still don't know if Ser Jorah is going to recover after Samwell's risky and painful treatment, but we really hope so. The Jorah and Khaleesi reunion it's something we totally want to see in the next episodes of the show.
'GOT' season 7 episode 3, 'The Queen's Justice'
The next episode of the seventh season of "Game of Thrones," titled "The Queen's Justice," will air on July 30, on HBO.
Here's the brief official description: "Daenerys Targaryen holds court. Cersei returns a gift. Jaime learns from his mistakes."
With Euron Greyjoy's assault on Yara's fleet, the Lannister-Targaryen war has officially begun. Below you can see the official trailer for season 7 episode 3, which features a few pictures from the long-awaited meeting between Daenerys and Jon Snow and the Unsullied's attack on Casterly Rock (the seat of House Lannister in Westeros).
