Yesterday, news about "Grey's Anatomy" season 14's first table read came up online and now, more cast are revealing on Instagram the latest development about the show. With Giacomo Gianniotti and Camilla Luddington expressing their excitement on Instagram, today, Sarah Drew, Caterina Scorsone, and Jason Winston George followed suit. Drew, who posted a photo with Scorsone and ABC writer Marlana Hope, said that she's excited to be back in school with her besties.
Jason George, who posted a simple "Yeah! this happened yesterday" quote along with a picture of the script cover, Caterina Scorsone was more revealing in her post, sharing Luddington's Snapchat image of a shooting location in Seattle.
Amid the excitement of the new season of "Grey's Anatomy," the character of Marika Dominzyck as Dr. Eliza Minnick remains missing. Nevertheless, it was notable how the main cast were the ones who primarily revealed the table read.
Dr. Minnick's future in Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital
Meanwhile, fans are wondering whether Dr. Minnick will still be part of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital after the previous season featured her getting fired from her job. In fact, the last episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 concluded in a manner that left its viewers with a cliffhanger episode; something that likely sparks interest in the new season's first episode. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw), who was obviously shocked at Dr.
Minnick's firing can't seem to offer her something that will ease the tension.
Now, more than what that last episode implied, fans are wondering about the fate of Dr. Eliza Minnick. In a previous post by the Moviefone, the character of Dr. Minnick hasn't been welcomed; at least in the eyes of the Callie-Arizona fans. Dominzyck felt the tension and she also realized the impact she had on the show.
Somehow, she did not let the fans' negative reaction bother her.
How cast prepare for their roles
But with the new season of "Grey's Anatomy" coming this fall, Dominzyck's future remains bleak. Aside from last season's chaotic ending, it looks like the writers are saving the best for the new season. Meanwhile, an old interview with Chyler Leigh who plays Dr.
Lexie Grey on the show revealed how the cast is only presented with the script prior to shooting. That means the cast are only informed of their script hours before they start to shoot each episode. That said, it's likely that Dr. Eliza Minnick's role will come in a later part of the show, rather than the first episode.
