Chester Bennington shocked the music industry when he took his life by hanging, leaving behind his wife Talinda Ann Bentley and six children. The Linkin Park frontman was found lifeless at his residence while his family was out of town on July 20. Apparently, his death coincided with the birthday of his close friend, Chris Cornell, who passed away just two months ago from apparent suicide.

In his letter to Cornell, Bennington expressed his gratitude to his friend for inspiring him through his talent. He even said that he could not imagine the world without his friend in it and then thanked Cornell for having him in his life.

Two months later, the rock industry lost another gem after Bennington struggled to win against his demons. The former Linkin Park vocalist had admitted that he struggled with anxiety in the past.

Of finding hope and inspiration in music

He, however, found hope in their new album, "One More Light," which he said speaks about optimism and inspiration to move on from their dark past. "It takes a lot of patience to just let things happen as they’re happening and just ride it out," he said.

Bennington was a co-writer of their songs "Heavy" and "Halfway Right" where he talked about trying to slow things down. His battle with depression ended when he committed suicide, but his influence will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, loved ones, friends, and fans all over the world.

Wife remembers late Linkin Park singer

His wife, Talinda, who chose to mourn in silence with her family and kids has finally released a statement on Bennington's death through her social media account on Friday. Talinda said she lost her "soulmate," while her children lost their "hero" when the rock singer passed away.

She said everything was going well in the fantasy-like family until the tragedy took place.

Although it has been over a week since the incident happened, Bennington's wife is still coping up with his death and trying to figure out how she will accept that her husband is no longer with them.

"The only answer I know is to raise our babies with every ounce of love I have left. I want to let my community and the fans worldwide know that we feel your love.

We feel your loss as well," she wrote.

Talinda remembered her late husband as "bright, loving soul with an angel's voice." She ended her heartfelt post by expressing her gratitude to those who prayed for her husband and their family. May God bless us all and help us turn to one another when we are in pain," she added.
