In a few months, “Blue Bloods” Season 8 is about to return to the small screens. With that, fans are now left wondering who among their favorite stars are continuing their journey in the streets of New York City.
The fan-favorite Officer Eddie Jenko (Vanessa Ray) will be back in the eighth season of the CBS drama. In a social media post, the 36-year-old actress revealed that they are now filming for the show’s new season and even gave a glimpse of the woman in uniform.
The return of police officer Jenko
Once again, the stars of “Blue Bloods” Season 8 will be back on the streets to do their jobs, Carter Matt reported.
The last time fans saw Eddie Jenko was when she and Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) got separated as partners for the time being. And since the police procedural drama is based from the perspective of the Reagan family, viewers didn’t get to see her often when they are apart.
This made a lot of fans confused and even imposed some questions. They started to ask the whereabouts of Vanessa Ray’s character or if they will ever see her again in the television series. However, this also leads to for the two officers to realize that they want to be with each other and even jump into a romantic relationship.
But aside from the bond, fans also want to see the life of Eddie Jenko outside her work life like the things she did when she and Eddie are separated.
But, as “Blue Bloods” is known for not revealing any flashbacks, viewers are still hoping to see her backstory in the show.
Nevertheless, followers of the police procedural drama are now celebrating knowing that the New York City police officer is back. They, too, are now excited to see what the television series’ eighth season has to offer and where it will take her and the rest of the cast.
A wedding to save the show
Meanwhile, as Eddie Jenko is going to be back in “Blue Bloods” Season 8, fans are expecting to hear wedding bells.
As the police officer is going to be reunited with Jamie Reagan and a romantic relationship is gently brewing, there could be a nuptial happening between the two. As there are swirling rumors that the show is going to be canceled after its eighth season, a marriage might save the show to continue for another chapter.
However, the cancellation rumors have been slammed by the show’s executive producer Kade Wilson in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He said that he has high hopes for the upcoming new chapter and its next installments in the coming future.
The police procedural drama series will be back with 22 new episodes on Sept. 29 on CBS.
