Despite not being a power couple anymore, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are still one of the most talked about celebrities in Hollywood. The former couple noticeably hid away from the public after the announcement of their divorce, in a valiant effort to keep their privacy intact and protect their kids from the after effects of a highly-sensationalized divorce.

Up until now, the real reason for their separation has not been revealed by either party, leaving the fans to ponder about the true cause of their divorce. Some fans speculate that Brad Pitt's alcoholic behavior may have been the last straw for Angelina Jolie, which was suspected to have changed the actor's behavior towards their kids.

After how many months of silence, Angelina Jolie has finally eased up on giving interviews to the press and has graced the cover of Vanity Fair.

According to CNN, Jolie talked about sensitive topics in the Vanity Fair cover story, from her divorce with Brad Pitt to her secret illnesses.

Suffering from Bell's Palsy

It is a known fact that Angelina Jolie is considered to be one of the most beautiful faces not only in Hollywood but in the world. Her face is one of her biggest assets and it would be such a tragedy if something would happen to her face, right?

According to CNN, Angelina Jolie revealed that at one point in her life, she has secretly battled Bell's Palsy, a medical condition that causes partial facial paralysis. In severe and untreated cases, the face of an affected individual gets distorted because of the paralysis of the facial nerves.

The 42-year old actress shared that there were times when she ended up crying in the shower because she did not want her children to worry about her. Apparently, she didn't want her children to feel what she felt when she was growing up with a sickly mother.

On her divorce with Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie also answered one of the most burning questions about her divorce with Brad Pitt - when did their relationship start crumbling down?

In the Vanity Fair cover story, Jolie revealed that their relationship became difficult last summer, during the post-production of "First They Killed My Father."

During that time, Jolie was really busy with the movie because she was the one who was sitting in the director's chair. The "Maleficent" actress didn't give further information as to why she and Brad Pitt decided to have a divorce, but she made it clear that their lifestyle was in no way the reason for their misunderstandings.
