‘A Clash of Kings’ author still working on ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ series’ sixth installment
Hall of Fame Magazine has reported that “The Winds of Winter” could possibly be published within this year. According to George RR Martin, the sixth book of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series is not yet finished as he has a lot of commitments right now.
We recall that Martin previously launched an organization named StageCoach Foundation. The 68-year-old author shared that this foundation aims to help the neophyte filmmakers from his hometown in Sta. Fe, New Mexico hone their skills in producing motion pictures.
Aside from that, George RR Martin had also confirmed that he is currently writing the scripts of the imminent five “Game of Thrones” spinoffs, which has delayed “The Winds of Winter” novel. "Season 7 of "Game of Thrones" will be here on July 16 and the five successor shows are moving forward at various rates of speed,” the New Mexican writer wrote in a post in his blog at Live Journal
While this is a good news for all tv viewers, Digital Spy reported that this may also mean that Martin would not have enough time to finish the sixth book of the “A Song of Fire and Ice” series.
Additionally, the “A Dream of Spring” author has clarified that while he is currently writing for the five spinoffs, only one of these prequels will be aired on HBO.
Veteran author vowed to finish ‘TWOW’ before writing another book series
Meanwhile, George RR Martin had told his fans that they should drop the fear that he might not finish “The Winds of Winter” due to an untimely death.
The brain behind the “Game of Thrones” said that he was not impressed by the rumors about the chances of his demise.
Martin said that he hopes to live for the next thirty years as he plans to write thirty more novels, Express reported. The “Fevre Dream” writer added that, while he has not been very active in giving updates about the progress of “TWOW,” he has been sharing some excerpts of the upcoming book so fans will know what to expect.
It remains to be seen if George RR Martin can finish and publish “The Winds of Winter” before 2017 ends. So, fans should keep their fingers crossed. Stay tuned for more updates!
