"Teen Mom OG" star Maci Bookout is allegedly seeing full custody of her son Bentley after his father Ryan Edwards has reportedly relapsed. The MTV mom is said to be trying to take time with Bentley away from Ryan after his drug issues have become dangerous for their son's welfare. According to Facebook page Teen Mom Updates, Maci will be seeking full custody of Bentley, and possibly looking to have Ryan's "rights terminated."
Is Maci keeping Bentley away from Ryan?
According to the post, Ryan Edwards did not complete his full 30 days in rehab, but only stayed in treatment for about two weeks.
The "Teen Mom OG" dad has allegedly already relapsed and taken drugs again since leaving rehab only days ago. Fans who watched the show's season finale on Monday night were shocked and appalled during a scene where Ryan was driving himself and his now wife, Mackenzie Standifer, to their wedding while allegedly under the influence of drugs. The scene shocked many as Edwards swerved all over the road, slurred his words, and even nodded off behind the wheel multiple times. During the scene, Mackenzie looked angry and decided to shut off the cameras in their vehicle. Later, when the cameras were off, Mackenzie asked Ryan if he had taken a Xanax, to which he replied no.
Did Ryan already relapse?
After the "Teen Mom OG' finale aired, Ryan Edwards released a statement revealing that he did enter rehab and that he was back home and doing well now.
Edwards credited his parents, Jen and Larry Edwards, as well as his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, for all of their love and support, and thanks fans for their well wishes also. However, did Ryan lie about rehab and recovery? The rumors are now swirling that Ryan didn't take rehab seriously, and that he's putting his family in danger by continuing to use drugs.
Edwards' MTV co-star, Amber Portwood, even spoke out saying that she hopes Ryan is taking his sobriety serious because 30 days in rehab "barely scratches the surface" of drug addiction issues.
Would Bookout terminate Edwards' parental rights?
It seems fair that Maci Bookout would be worried sick about Ryan Edwards, especially if their son Bentley is in his care.
However, Maci has been very vocal about wanting to help her ex-fiance get help for his drug addiction issues, and keep him in Bentley's life. While it seems reasonable that Bookout may be considering seeking full custody of their son for his safety, the rumors about terminating his parental rights just don't seem like something the "Teen Mom OG" star would do to either Bentley, Ryan, or Ryan's parents, Jen and Larry.
