One Direction was undeniably one of the most popular boybands of all time. Teenage girls all around the world all know the words to their songs and they were performing at concerts here and there. However, there came a time when they announced their disbandment, much to their fans' dismay. Zayn Malik was the first to release a solo album, and the remaining band members followed his footsteps and pursued their individual solo careers in music. There were rumors spreading around that the former band members were not in good terms. However, a recent event may have debunked those rumors, well, at least for two of the former One Direction members.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Liam Payne and Niall Horan had a One Direction reunion in Indiana. The former One Direction members reportedly got together on Friday night for the ZPL Birthday Bash.
It's all good
Apparently, Liam Payne and Niall Horan parted ways in good terms, as they reportedly appeared to have greeted each other so warmly, like two old friends who haven't seen each other in such a long time. In fact, both ex-boyband members took the momentous event to social media, as they both posted photos of their reunion.
On their Instagram stories, Liam Payne and Niall Horan shared to their fans all over the world their short but sweet mini One Direction reunion. A Twitter account with the handle @1DCheckups noted that after 556 days of One Direction's hiatus, a mini reunion finally happened.
Niall Horan holds no grudges
While there were rumors circulating that Harry Styles and Zayn Malik are not really in good terms, it appears to be different with Niall Horan. According to Entertainment Tonight, the "Drag Me Down" singer shared during an interview at the American Music Awards in November, that he was looking forward to meeting Zayn Malik after their disbandment.
In the said interview, Horan expressed that he hasn't seen or spoken to Zayn Malik in a few months so he was really looking forward to seeing him again. However, it looks like the reunion with the "Pillow Talk" singer might have to take a rain check. Fortunately, Niall Horan got his One Direction reunion but with another former member, Liam Payne.
In another report by Billboard, Niall Horan has expressed that he isn't ruling out any future collaborations with former One Direction members. Up until now, the fans are still hopeful for a full 1D reunion, but as of now, they will have to make do with the recent reunion of Liam Payne and Niall Horan.
