It seems like the waiting game is almost over for the millions of One Direction fans waiting for the band's much-awaited reunion when Niall Horan shared his viewpoint about the band's possible get-together that could happen anytime -- even sooner than expected.

Horan, 23, has recently spread a bunch of excitement to his fans after more than a year that the band has been on a hiatus. During his recent interview, the "This Town" singer revealed that he has still been trying to adjust to his newer life as a soloist and said if ever there's a bit of chance to reunite with his bandmates, he'll surely do whatever it takes to be there.

"I told my managers from the start: when One Direction comes knocking, f**k what I'm doing," he said. "I don't give a sh*t if I sold out arenas or won Grammys. I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for that."

The happy news was quick to make frenzy on various social media platforms and news sites, but Horan didn't mention anything specific about the reunion date.

Is it possible to see Zayn joining his former band again?

While this could mean everything for to ever-loyal 1D fans who have long been waiting to see them perform onstage once again, it is still not known yet if Zayn Malik would be joining the anticipated reunion.

The "Pillow Talk" singer exited from One Direction in 2015 to pursue his own career as a soloist.

But given the fact that the remaining four have always considered him as a friend, it is definitely not impossible to see all of them reunite in the future.

Despite Malik's exit, the English-Irish boy band remained on top of the music charts and continued to perform in world tours and concerts at the time, but the group announced the hiatus four months after the singer's departure.

If a reunion is really happening, when will it be?

Shortly after the reports went viral, One Directioners were left with a hanging question about the band's exact return. While Horan gave quite a fuzzy answer, he said that he probably doesn't want to do it when he's old and added that if he were to decide, he would like it better in the next few years. "When it will be, I don't know.

I prefer not to do it after I'm 40. I'd prefer the next few years." he said.

Meanwhile, the details about this anticipated One Direction reunion will be under wraps for now until all the members give their final say, and fans can only hope for it to happen just sooner than Horan's estimate of in "the next few years."

The singer has at least shed some light for the One Directioners who, after seeing Harry Styles and Liam Payne debut their solo albums and singles this month, have been left with doubts of seeing the band perform their favorite 1D songs again.
