Braison Cyrus, Miley Cyrus' brother, just made his first runway show during the Dolce & Gabbana spring fashion event in Italy. However, it looked as if it will be the first and last time for Braison to work with this huge designer’s team after Miley criticized the brand over an Instagram post.
The singer has been proud of the performance of her brother on stage. She even congratulated him on the social media for his first catwalk in Milan on Saturday.
However, on the later part of her Instagram post, she made it clear that she was not in favor of Dolce & Gabbana's kind of politics.
To recall, the designer team used to dress the US first lady, Melania Trump. Meanwhile, the singer-actress wasn't clear of which kind of politics she disagreed with, but also, the feud escalated when Stefano Gabbana replied on her comment box.
Embracing opportunities
According to Cyrus, her brother never really dreamed of becoming a fashion model. In fact, she has known him to be one of the most talented musicians in their family. Nonetheless, the "Malibu" singer further revealed that it is already in the blood of their family to embrace certain opportunity once it comes.
Meanwhile, she concluded her post as she wrote, "PS D&G, I STRONGLY disagree with your politics.... but I do support your company's effort to celebrate young artists & give them the platform to shine their light for all to see!” In line with this, Gabbana has called the singer "ignorant” as a response.
Further, the designer team concluded that they will never ever work with Braison again. The tension had escalated when Gabbana further called Cyrus as "stupid" in the social media.
Politics issue
Amid the shout out post of Cyrus on Instagram, a lot had speculated that the politics she had been referring to is about the anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and the fact that D&G are dressing Melania Trump. It is believed that Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce are both gay.
Since then, both had faced criticisms when they became open about gay parenting and IVF treatments.
Further, Gabbana also faced criticisms when he called his critics as "fat and full of burgers." Apparently, Cyrus has considered it a shaming message to anybody who is not thin. Meanwhile, Dolce & Gabbana is known to be one of the highest fashion brands in the world. However, instead of making apologies for what they had posted online, the designer team seemed to fire up the feud which is believed to be fueled by Cyrus.
