Lucifer” season 3 may see Lucifer Morningstar reunite with other family members. Tom Ellis recently hinted at the return of the devil’s mother Charlotte and his father God Johnson, as well as his brother Uriel.

Lucifer’s family introduced in season 2

The second season introduced viewers to other members of the titular character’s family aside from Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside).

Fans got to meet Lucifer’s mother, who escaped Hell, occupied a dead human body who goes by the name of Charlotte Richards (Tricia Helfer).

The second installment also briefly featured Uriel, the brother who tested Lucifer’s loyalties to his mother Charlotte and to detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). Fans may remember that the devil killed Uriel because he did not want him to take Charlotte back to Hell and kill Chloe. It was the angel’s death that almost trapped Lucifer in Hell himself when he went back to find the doctor who poisoned Chloe.

Then, of course, there is Earl Johnson, the psychiatric ward patient who managed to convince Lucifer that he is God.

The man knew things that only the devil’s father knows. It turned out that the belt buckle he picked up is divine and is part of Uriel’s sword. This explained why he knows Lucifer.

The addition of these three characters in "Lucifer" season 2 gave viewers a glimpse at Lucifer’s relationship with his family. Now fans are wondering whether Uriel, Charlotte and God Johnson will be making another appearance in “Lucifer” Season 3.

Tom Ellis on whether fans will meet other family members

Tom Ellis, who plays the titular character, hinted at the return of Charlotte, Uriel and possibly God Johnson in the third installment. He added that fans may even get to see other family members. “I think there is always a chance we’ll meet more members of the family.

There’s always a chance that other people would come back,” Ellis said in an interview with DC All Access about season 3.

Who is likely coming back?

There is a chance that Charlotte could return to Earth after Lucifer let her escape to a different realm (not Hell or Heaven) in the season 2 Finale. There has been no word yet, whether Helfer has left the series, so this could be a sign that she returns in the third season.
