Johnny Depp has some choice words for United States President Donald Trump as the actor threatened to assassinate the country’s leader.

The actor took the stage at the Glastonbury Festival in England on Thursday and commented on the 71-year-old president who won the presidential election in November 2016. The 54-year-old “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor asked the audience if they can bring the president to the arena. Depp was at the event for the screening of his 2004 flick “The Libertine” and the audience misunderstood him so they booed the actor.

Depp continued and said the audience did not understand what he meant so he said, “I think he needs help.” He then asked the audience, “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?” The crowd began cheering for Depp. He went on to wittingly clarify that he was not pertaining to himself regarding the assassination of the president as he believes he is not an actor because he lies for a living. The crowd continued to cheer him on.

The former husband of Amber Heard referenced John Wikes Booth. Booth, an actor, assassinated President Abraham Lincoln back in 1985. It is unclear why Depp suddenly talked about Trump at the event.

Secret Service aware of Johnny Depp’s comments

Depp acknowledged his comments against Trump will be in the media and it will be “horrible.”

The Secret Service confirmed they are aware of Depp’s comments and a staff assistant identified as Shawn Holtzclaw said in a statement, “For security reasons, we cannot discuss specifically nor in general terms the means and methods of how we perform our protective responsibilities.”

According to People, President Trump has not responded to this yet but a White House staffer said the statements of Depp were sad.

The staffer called on the colleagues of Depp will speak out against such rhetoric as strongly as they would if the remarks were made against a Democratic official.

Aside from Depp, comedienne Kathy Griffin was also criticized when she uploaded a photo of her holding the severed head of the president. What she did caused her some of the projects she already signed up for such as the New Year’s Eve gig with CNN.

Johnny Depp never a fan of Donald Trump

Depp expressed he did not like Trump at all even before he became the president. Last year, he was the one who mimicked Trump in a satirical biopic for the then-Republican leading candidate. The actor also called Trump a brat.
