The CW series is unstoppable in bringing fans the cliffhangers that make them crave for more. From "Supergirl" season 2, "The Flash" Season 3 to "Arrow" season 5, the ball just keeps on rolling. The fifth season of "Arrow" ended with Oliver Queen and his son William on a boat. Queen, aka Green Arrow, went after his rival Adrian Chase, the villain who kidnapped his son. While he managed to catch up with Chase on the boat, Queen left Lian Yu island in a terrible situation.

Who lives in 'Arrow' season 6

Queen saved his son but little did he know that Chase planted bombs around the whole Lian Yu island.

Unfortunately, this villainous character is always right whenever he says his plans are "ten steps away" from Oliver. Probably Chase was in a psychotic state of mind when he killed himself, triggering the switch of the bomb planted on the island. As the series came to a close, viewers saw the island explode, leaving Oliver Queen and his son as the only confirmed safe ones.

Not much has been revealed about his friends' deaths but it seems like one of them is still alive. According to TV Line, co-showrunner Wendy Mericle said, “It would be a great, sort of built-in story for Felicity to revisit these people, who are not very happy with her, let us be honest. We left that open-ended on purpose, for sure.” Mericle admitted how the show left Helix hanging.

It can be recalled how the group took advantage of Felicity to free their super hacker founder Cayden James out of ARGUS. After that, they bailed on her. Meanwhile, mentioning a 'built-in story' for Felicity states the obvious: she might be alive. If Helix's re-emergence happens next season, she will definitely be the ultimate card of team Arrow.

A chance for 'Olicity'

This would be a good sign for the possibility of a reconciliation of Oliver and Felicity's romance. They were in previous relationships with newly introduced characters after breaking off their engagement. Sadly, everything did not work out well. Mayor Queen was with a feisty reporter, Susan Williams while Felicity got things going with SCPD's Detective Billy Malone before he died.

Additional characters to expect in season 6

It was earlier announced that Katie Cassidy has been cast as a series regular. Unfortunately, she will play Laurel's doppelganger villain - Black Siren. Following her return, Julian Harkavy and Rick Gonzalez who play Dinah Drake (new Black Canary) and Wild Dog, respectively, were reported as series regulars as well. Therefore, "Arrow" Season 6 cannot be all that bad so watch out for more updates!
