Speculation surrounding the recent suspension of the production of "Bachelor in Paradise" season 4 continues as more and more sources have come forward to different media outlets to share their version of the events that took place on June 4. ABC suspended the production of the reality TV show following reports of "sexual misconduct" that took place on set in Mexico, and not later than a few days later, reports surfaced that the two cast members in question were Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson. Both cast members released official statements within a week of the event.

Olympios claimed she was a "victim," while Jackson claimed that his name was been tarnished by the scandal. Both of them hired lawyers to clear the PR mess and are now waiting to view the footage of what happened on the night of June 4. Meanwhile, sources have come forward to say that Olympios was heavily intoxicated that night, causing her lapse of judgment and no-holds-barred behavior.

Corinne Olympios 'blacked out' from too much alcohol

Recent reports from sources close to production revealed that "Bachelor in Paradise" cast member Corinne Olympios was heavily intoxicated during the night in question. Some reports say that she even fell and injured her knee, with co-star Jasmine Goode coming to her aid.

Her lapse in judgment and behavior was caused by her excessive drinking, which would contribute to her "blacking out" during that night. E! News spoke to Dr. Aaron White, Senior Scientific Advisor to the Director at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, who explained that "The amount of alcohol needed to produce blackouts also disrupts the ability to make sound decisions and control impulses.

A severely intoxicated person, in a blackout or not, could have profoundly impaired decision-making abilities."

Drunk Corinne Olympios did not know what she was doing

It seemed that "Bachelor in Paradise" cast member Corinne Olympios was drinking excessively on June 4, as an insider told Daily Mail that she was upset that the producers were asking her to slow down, as they were concerned for her well-being.

The reality TV star reportedly claimed, "I'm a grown woman and I can make my own decisions. I'm an adult, if I want to drink I'm going to drink."

Olympios now dealing with 'physical and emotional trauma' following the scandal

"Bachelor in Paradise" cast member Corinne Olympios released a statement that said she was still currently trying to make sense of what happened on June 4. She has also enlisted the help of a lawyer to obtain justice and seek therapy to begin dealing with the physical and emotional trauma after that evening. The reality series has suspended production for the foreseeable future and ABC has not disclosed whether it plans to resume with a different set of cast members.
