There is good news for fans who are missing Tyler Perry's "The Haves and the Have Nots." Viewers do not have to wait until the fall when most shows return. Because of the way the series was arranged, it is returning on June 20, 2017. The mid-season finale was on March 14, 2017; however, Season 5 was from January 3 to August 29. That means that there are three more months of the show left in Season 5 before Season 6 starts on January 2, 2018, after a five-month break.
First half of season
Before you begin to watch the last half of Season 5 in June, you might want to watch re-runs of the first half of the season.
They will be available on OWN in time for you to watch them before the next season begins. This will be a great way to refresh viewers' memories.
The mid-season finale on March 14 left viewers with a lot of cliffhangers. For instance, Katheryn told Jim she is divorcing him. She had everything moved from the house while Jim was in his office. Jim was more concerned with how that happened without him hearing a thing than about Katheryn divorcing him and leaving him with nothing.
Some surprises were revealed that viewers never suspected. Who knew Candace's best friend Erica is not her best friend after all? In fact, Erica is more of a friend to Warlock than she is to Candace.
Speaking of Warlock, he is still out to find Candace and kill her, and now viewers know Erica is helping him.
War hasn't found Candace, but he went to the motel where Benny, Mitch, Hannah and little Q are. When they wouldn't reveal where Candace was, War and his friends shot up the room. Even though Hanna had taken the boy to another room, gunshots went through the door. When the series ended, Hanna walked out holding a limp and bloody grandson in her arms.
More episodes
There are 11 more episodes left in Season 5 that will go from June 20 to August 29, 2017. While some of the loose ends will be tied up, expect to see more new stories develop. For example, Candace's scheme is just beginning with Charles, the young man who is running for president.
The saga with Veronica trying to get Jeffrey, her homosexual son, to marry Melissa will continue.
After hearing about her father's death, Melissa attempts suicide and Jeffrey is shocked. Remember that War still hasn't found Candace, so, that story is still evolving. The biggest story in the coming episodes will probably be finding out the condition of little Q after the shooting. Hopefully he is not dead.
Make sure you watch the return of Tyler Perry’s "The Haves and the Have Nots" on June 20, 2017 at 9 p.m.
