"Teen Mom OG" star Ryan Edwards is in the middle of some heated drug rumors. The rumors have been circulating for about a year, but a recent episode of the show fueled the fire. Fans watched this week as Maci Bookout shed tears over her baby-daddy's issues. Maci told her co-stars, Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell that she was worried sick that Ryan would do something that he wouldn't be able to come back from, and former addict Amber says she knew what kind of state Ryan was in, because she's been there.

Maci also revealed that "everyone around" Ryan is "too afraid of what it will look like more than his health," to get him into rehab. "It’s all denial. The hardest thing is to see Ryan not love himself. He’s a person who deserves to love himself," she added.
Later, Maci Bookout told her husband, Taylor McKinney, that she was going to confront Ryan Edwards about his issues and insist that he get help by heading to rehab. Now, Ryan's fiance, MacKenzie Standifer, is speaking out on the drug abuse rumors that have been in the spotlight since the most recent episode of "Teen Mom OG."

MacKenzie says that fans of the show should not be tearing her and Ryan down, instead that they should be praying for the couple and their family if they believe there is a problem to be dealt with.
Standifer also revealed to The Ashley's Reality Roundup that she doesn't car what people think of her or Ryan and that she has zero respect for people who put others down. MacKenzie says that fans can continue to wonder about Ryan's issues and that she doesn't feel that she should have to defend herself to fans who doesn't walk in her shoes or pay her bills.
Will Ryan ever address the elephant in the room?
"Teen Mom OG" dad Ryan Edwards has never publicly addressed the drug rumors. However, last year after the cast filmed the reunion show, paparazzi caught up with Ryan and asked him point blank if the drug rumors were true. Ryan denied the rumors then and has not spoken on them since.
Later, MTV producer, Jaala Webster insisted that sometimes Ryan is "just tired" while filming, and that's what he may look like he's high on drugs. Ryan's parents, Jen and Larry Edwards have also not commented on the drug rumors, or Maci Bookout's comments in the previous episode. It seems likely that they will not speak out publicly about the drug speculation. However, they may address it on the reunion show, or in an upcoming episode of the series.
