Prince Harry played in a polo match for his charities on Sunday, May 7 at Coworth Park Polo Match in Ascot, Berkshire, U.K. His actress girlfriend, Meghan Markle, was there to support him. They were spotted hugging and kissing. The couple also attended a public event together on Saturday.
Prince Harry, 32, and Meghan, 35, have been dating almost a year and have spent a lot of time together but not in public until now. People are interpreting their public appearance as a serious step in their relationship.
Polo match
While her boyfriend played a good game on Sunday, Markle was on the sidelines watching and cheering him on.
They were seen hugging and keeping after the match. The prince was playing for two of his charities, Sentebale and Well Child. Harry's brother Prince William also played in the polo match on Sunday to raise money and awareness for several of their charities. Both royals have been a part of the polo games to support their charities since 2007. Kensington Palace reported that the brothers have raised about $13 million over the last ten years.
Relationship journey
The prince and the "Suits" actress have been dating for almost a year. Their relationship has evolved since then. They spend time together every chance they get. Since they started dating, they have been together on almost every holiday and at other times.
Recently, Prince Harry spent Easter with Meghan in Toronto. Meghan spent two months in England with Harry after the Christmas holidays through February. Right after Christmas, they went on vacation to Norway. The couple also spent Valentine's Day with each other.
Last March, Meghan met Harry in Jamaica to attend the wedding of Harry's friend.
After the wedding, they spent some private time together. Meghan has taken a week off from filming "Suits" to attend Pippa Middleton's wedding on May 20 as Harry's guest.
Kensington Palace announced that this fall Prince Harry's Invictus Games will be held in Toronto. That's where Markle lives and films her television show "Suits." That will be another opportunity for them to see each other.
It has been reported that Harry is having an apartment renovated at Kensington Palace so Meghan can move in with him. It seems like that it might be true because she has shut down her blog, "The Tig" because she wouldn't be allowed to have it if she and Harry got married. Meghan also gave up her fashion line. These two steps are indications that she is planning a future with Harry.
