Penélope Cruz has transformed into Donatella Versace, and is set to play the famous fashion powerblond in “american crime story.” On Monday, the Oscar winner was spotted donning a beautiful wig on the set of the miniseries in Florida, where the shooting is continued these days. In March, executive producer Ryan Murphy confirmed Cruz for the leading role in the FX series titled “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.” The story is inspired by Maureen Orth's novel "Vulgar Favors".

“The Assassination of Gianni Versace” will air in 2018. “American Crime Story” is a famous crime anthology show developed by Larry Karaszewki and Scott Alexander. Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson, and Brad Falchuk are serving as executive producers. It is a spin-off of the TV show American Horror Story, and debuted on FX in the US on February 2, 2016.
